Alumni
Library services
As UVic alumni, we encourage you to stay connected with our libraries and use their resources.
- Get an alumni card and borrow materials from the library. Check what you need to know about borrowing, renewing, requesting and returning items.
- Use the computers in the library to access thousands of e-journals and e-books using a guest Netlink ID.
- From home, you can also get access to online databases for which we've negotiated access for alumni. You'll need an active Netlink ID to log in. Alumni who do not have a Netlink ID may apply for one online. Additional online resources may be available at your local public library.
- Use our subject guides. They're maintained by our librarians and provide timely information to fit your interests.
Other library services
- Interlibrary loan services for UVic alumni are available for a specially reduced fee of $14 per item.
- Alumni can create or maintain a RefWorks account. RefWorks is an Internet-based citation manager that allows users to create their own database of citations.
- Infoline service provides additional services for alumni on a fee-for-service basis.
Library events
- UVic Libraries hold a number of free seminars, exhibits and events to promote the library’s rich collections. For information on upcoming events, contact Susan Henderson or call 250-853-3612. View upcoming events on the UVic events calendar.
- Read the library news blog for news, events and announcements.
