Students studying remotely from within China often experience slow or intermittent access to Internet based learning resources. There are many factors influencing this including their location (province/region), residential internet service provider performance and congestion on oceanic network links. While many of these factors are beyond the control of the university, UVic has subscribed to Alibaba’s Global Application Acceleration service to help improve their experience.

This service applies to a very specific list of learning technologies in use at UVic, including Zoom, Brightspace, Blackboard Collaborate and Connex. See below for the complete list.
