Citation Appeal

Any person wishing to appeal a citation, immobilization, or suspension of parking privileges must do so within 14 calendar days from the date of issue of the citation or the Notice of Suspension of Parking Privileges. An appeal of a citation must be entered online through the Campus Security website and must be paid before an appeal can be entered.

Please note: If you entered your vehicle licence plate number incorrectly and received a citation, please contact us prior to submitting an appeal. In many cases, this can be resolved simply, avoiding the appeal process.

Appeals received through the appeal process will be reviewed by the Traffic and Parking Committee on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. After the review of the appeal and in conjunction with the related facts and circumstances, the Traffic and Parking committee will decide on the disposition of appeals by majority vote. Appeal results will be communicated to the appellant via email. When the Traffic and Parking Committee rules the citation to be reduced to a warning or that it be cancelled, the ruling will be so entered on the appellants account and a refund of the citation fine amount will be issued.
