Math Tutoring in the First Peoples House

The Math & Stats Assistance Centre provides study space and free drop-in tutoring for indigenous students in FPH 128 on Mondays 2:30-4:30pm and Fridays 9:30-11:30am. These sessions are usually led by Kate, an indigenous graduate students in physics. 

Indigenous students are encouraged to take advantage of our study space and drop-in tutoring in ELL 165 and LIBR 129 (details below) as well as our self-paced review materials on the Math & Stats Assistance Centre Brightspace


Collaborative study space

The Betty & Gilbert Kennedy Math & Stats Assistance Centre is located in ELL 165. The room will be open for collaborative study from 9:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. 

Tutors on duty

September 12th - December 5th, 2022

The Math & Stats Assistance Centre tutors will be available for drop-in tutoring starting in the second week of the term (September 12th, 2022). The detailed schedule by tutor is available in .pdf format. 

Please see the schedule by course for information on when we have tutors to support you. 

We will have tutors available for in-person tutoring at the following times:

  • Mondays - Fridays, 9:30am-1:30pm PT: ELL 165
  • Mondays - Fridays, 2:30-6:30pm PT: Library 129

Please note that we will be closed on September 30th (Truth and Reconciliation Day), October 10th (Thanksgiving), and Nov 9th-11th (Reading Break). 

Exam Period

We will have a special exam period schedule, which is usually finalized by the beginning of December.
