Gustavson's Year 1 Welcome
Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Welcome to Gustavson! Join us to connect with your new community and start exploring what it means to be a Gustavson student. You'll meet classmates, connect with mentors, members of the BCom team, and learn more about the people, resources and opportunities that will support you throughout your degree.
We'll also help you understand the transition from high school to university by introducing key academic expectations, and tell you about the many ways you can get involved to make the most of your time at Gustavson.
Most importantly, this is a chance to meet new people, enjoy some food, have some fun and begin building a sense of belonging before classes get underway.
This event is for first-year BCom students only.
Register now and be sure to provide any dietary or accessibility requirements. For questions or accessibility requests, please contact Andrea Felix de la Rosa at andreafe@uvic.ca.
