Graduate Student Welcome

8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Students' Society welcome new graduate students with a three-part event starting with info sessions, a campus tour and wrapping up with snacks and mingling at the Graduate Student Lounge.

Registration is now closed.

To register in person, please check in at 8:45 a.m. in Hickman Building (HHB) Room 105.

Arrival 

8:45 to 9 a.m.

Greetings and introductions 

9 to 10:30 a.m.

Learn about services and support for graduate students, including the GSS and how to connect with the graduate community. Get a glimpse into the Graduate Supervision Policy and hear from current graduate students about working with an academic supervisor.

Graduate Student Campus Tour

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Join a campus tour which will be led by current graduate students. Tours groups will depart from the Graduate Student Welcome in the Hickman Building (HHB). The tour will end at the Halpern Centre – Graduate Student Lounge.

Graduate Student Social

12 to 3 p.m. at the Grad House, in the Halpern Centre for Graduate Students

A casual student social with appetizers and beverages provided by Faculty of Graduate Studies.
