Looking for a casual place to chill out and meet other new students after your faculty welcome session or campus tour? Join us at the Quad Social, just outside of the McPherson Library! Play a variety of card and lawn games or relax with some crafts and puzzles while enjoying free beverages and snacks. Hang out with some of our friendly Student Leadership Facilitators and get your questions answered as a new UVic student. Drop by for as long as you’d like!

This event is for all new undergraduate students. No registration required.

Some accessibility considerations at the Quad Social include:

  • The event takes place outside, both on concrete and grass. A number of tables will be on the concrete and wheelchair accessible.
  • The event space is partially covered by tents for shade.
  • The Quad Social may be busy, and the surrounding environment may be loud and crowded.
  • We will be providing food and drinks at this event. There is a water fountain nearby for you to fill up your water bottle.
  • There will be a respite tent for quieter activities.
  • The nearest washrooms are in the McPherson Library.
