Our master printer
We are fortunate to work in partnership with artist and master printer Jacob Dundee Appleby Maddison. Jacob works in the realms of printmaking, new media, photography, illustration, book making, and design. He is a storyteller, and is always exploring how perception and bias effects truth.
Jacob holds a Masters of Fine Arts at NSCADu, and a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
About the Farallon
The Farallon gets its name from the Farallon techtonic plate, which resides with its sister plate, the Kula, under what is now North America. The last shard of the Farallon plate is the Juan De Fuca Plate, where the lab resides.
The Farallon Book Arts Lab is one of the initiatives of the Kula Academy. As part of this interdisciplinary project, the Farallon allows us to explore the intersections of technology and knowlege production in human society.
