UVic Pride Caucus

Purpose

The purpose of the UVic Pride Caucus (UPC) is:

  • to explore events and activities, primarily for UVic staff and faculty, held on campus that will build community for 2SLGBTQIA+ people
  • to provide reports to the Associate Vice President, EQHR (UVic Leadership) with recommendations on events and activities
  • to plan and run approved 2SLGBTQIA+ events and activities
  • to create a network of support for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals on campus

Activities

The UPC will:

  • primarily recommend events and activities for Pride events on campus
  • organize events such as workshops, panel discussions and social gatherings to promote 2SLGBTQIA+ awareness and foster community
  • represent a consultative body for 2SLGBTQIA+ projects or initiatives

  • raising the Pride flag on campus
  • drag bingo fundraiser for UVic student groups
  • queer movie night at the Cinecenta
  • group socials at campus venues
