Bio

Joanna Schaller was born in Poland, where she studied Germanic Philology and Pedagogy. She received her Master of Arts degree in 1997.  While living in Germany, she worked as a translator, interpreter, editor, and language teacher at the City Hall and the inlingua School. After moving to Canada, she started working at UVic Continuing Studies and the Victoria German School teaching German in 2010. Since then, she has frequently participated in further training for German teachers in Vancouver, Toronto, and Berlin, where she received a full scholarship from the Goethe-Institute in 2025.
