Alexandra D'Arcy is a Professor in the Linguistics section of the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures at the University of Victoria.
Bio
Alexandra is Director of the Sociolinguistics Research Lab at UVic. She is a variationist sociolinguist, specializing in variation and change in varieties of English world-wide. She works primarily on pragmatic and morphosyntactic variability, from both diachronic and synchronic perspectives. She also works on professional and research ethics in linguistics.
