Bio

Rosa Stewart taught in the Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies from 1988 until her retirement in 2024. She especially enjoyed teaching first-year Spanish but also taught other levels of Spanish, Introduction to Literature, and courses on the cultures of Spain and Mexico. She is very proud of the work she did for study abroad over her years at UVic. She was also a member of Speakers Bureau for over 20 years. Through this she gave talks in the community about her travels and the culture of Spain and Mexico. She was also involved with Continuing Studies and led many travel-study groups to Spain.
