General Inquiries and Reception:  

The Advisers within the Department of English are available to help students with various questions about courses and requirements.  They are:

Undergraduate Adviser: Dr. Erin Ellerbeck

Dr. Ellerbeck will be able to help you with recommendations and course planning, degree requirements (including AWR), CAPP report reviews, future education as well as how to fill out declaration forms.  Please send an email to engllitadv@uvic.ca.

To discuss whether ATWP courses might suit your interests better, please contact the Director of the ATWP. 

Professional Communication Adviser: Dr. Rebecca Halliday

Dr. Halliday can help students who are interested in taking Professional Communication courses. She will be able to help students with course and program registration. Please send an email to pcadviser@uvic.ca 

AWR Adviser: Dr. Kim McLean-Fiander

Dr. McLean-Fiander can help students on all matters relating to registration and requirements of ENSH courses satisfying the Academic Writing Requirement. Please send an email to awradviser@uvic.ca. 

Honours Adviser: Dr. Nicholas Bradley

Dr. Bradley is available to help students who are interested in learning more about the English Honours program, applying to the program and discussing requirements.  Please send an e-mail  to englhonsad@uvic.ca.

Student Liaison: Rebecca Gagan
