"Have I Got A Story For You!" Spooky Season edition (November 5th, 2025, 7-9pm)

Join Richard Van Camp (Tłı̨chǫ Dene), Miranda Jimmy (Nêhiyaw/Cree), and Sekwan Wabasca (Nēhiyaw & Métis) for a night of jaw-dropping stories that will change your life. Net proceeds to fund bursaries for Indigenous students at UVic, the En'owkin Centre, and W̱SÁNEĆ College. Tickets are to be purchased in advance.

 Undergrad and Public Courses: (September 2025-April 2026)

After a very successful course run in 2024/25, Richard Van Camp will once again teach two undergraduate courses, offered in parallel through DCS to the wider community. The courses are coded for English – ENSH396 and ENSH395 – but are open to all interested students regardless of discipline or field of study at UVic.

Fall 2025: ENSH395 Indigenous Literatures: Sharing Family Medicine Through Storytelling

Spring 2026: ENSH396 Special Topics in Indigenous Storytelling: Gathering our Medicine Stories

Offered online, the courses will feature live sessions alternating each week with independent learning activities supported by Indigenous Teaching Assistants. Richard will feature guest speakers, storytellers, film-makers, and artists in addition to his own insights and stories.
