Advising services

Before contacting Advising, please review the website.  Many of the questions we receive (ex. How do I transfer to Computer Science? What courses do I still need to take before I can graduate?) can be answered by visiting our website, or by checking your CAPP report; the program planning worksheets; or the Academic Calendar.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of queries and are responding as quickly as possible. To assist in managing volume, please do not submit the same question multiple times. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Academic advising is available via email and by telephone or Zoom appointment.  Priority will be given to students with time-sensitive issues and those currently registered in the Computer Science program.

Email your V number (V00xxxxxx) and detailed questions to  If you’d like to book a 15-minute telephone or Zoom appointment, please also include the word ‘appointment’ in the subject line; indicate your availability between the hours of 9:30 to 11:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and specify whether you’d prefer a phone or Zoom call (if the appointment will be over the phone, be sure to provide a number you can be reached at).

The advisor will confirm your appointment via email, providing a link if the meeting will be held via Zoom. If the meeting will be via telephone, the advisor will contact you to start the meeting at the number you provided. Please note: Depending on the assistance you require, the advisor may respond to your appointment request by providing information for you to review, or referring you to another office.
