2014 United Way campaign rolls toward goal

Since kicking off on October 6, the 2014 UVic United Way campaign has been quickly gaining momentum. After only two weeks, UVic has already raised 66% of its goal. As we reach this important milestone, it is important to reflect on what the money raised so far could do. At time of writing, the 2014 campaign had raised approximately 66% of the $250,000 goal, adding up to about $165,000. Money donated to United Way Greater Victoria is spent in a variety of ways, focused along the lines of the three United Way priority areas: All That Kids Can Be, Poverty to Possibility, and Strong Communities. $165,000 can go a long way in terms of making positive change in the community
