Research resources

Research funding

Our faculty is committed to world-class research. We are supported by research funding from a variety of sources that totals close to $10 million annually.

Internal funding  (check eligibility before applying)

UVic internal grants:

External funding  (most common)

International research support

Research proposal deadlines

In order to allow time for application review and approval, your relevant research proposal paperwork must be in the Dean’s Office at least two weeks before the applicable external deadline.

The Dean’s Office needs to see a completed Research Application Summary Form, which the Chair or Director should have already signed, and also a copy of the entire grant application, including the proposed budget.
