Eating Disorders

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorders, and other related symptoms such as compulsive exercise, laxative use, restricting food intake. Don't wait until you have all the symptoms of a clinical eating disorder in order to get help. There is help available on campus and in the community.

You can make an appointment with a Student Wellness Centre counsellor, nurse or doctor to talk about disordered eating and healthy relationships with food and eating.

You can find more information from Island Health and you can access the Regional Eating Disorder Liaison (250-519-7700 ext.17117) and they can assist you in locating resources.
