Cancer and Immunology

Research in the Cancer and Immunology group includes basic, translational, and clinical researchers studying the molecular mechanisms leading to cancer development, immune responses to cancer, and how to harness the immune response for preventative and therapeutic purposes. Faculty within this group include researchers at the BC Cancer Agency, Deeley Research Centre. Researchers within the Cancer and Immunology group use infectious pathogens and models of inflammation to probe the functioning of the immune system, with a view to developing treatment strategies to promote health.
