Bio
Prof. Venn is the Principal Investigator of the NTCO-CREATE project, and is also the Director of the Astronomy Research Centre and a former Canada Research Chair in Observational Astrophysics. Her research is in stellar spectroscopy, using stars to study the chemical evolution of galaxies and star clusters. She has interacted extensively with researchers at NRC-Herzberg, chaired or served on science advisory committees for several Canadian and international observatories, including CFHT, Gemini, HST, ESO, MSE, and TMT.
