Borrowing from outside Victoria

Unable to visit the UVic campus? If you live outside of Victoria, we can send print materials to you.

You can also access our electronic library resources from off-campus.

Place a request

UVic students and faculty members can fill out a form to request the materials you need. Then we’ll send them to you.

UVic alumni and external borrowers outside of Victoria can also request this service for a fee.

Students

This service is free for any current student living outside of Victoria.

If you are a student in a distance program but you live in Victoria, you must pick up your materials at the Ask Us Desk in the Mearns - McPherson Library or at the front desk in the Priestly Library.

Whether you’re on or off campus, research support and assignment help are available for all students. Contact us if you have questions.

Faculty

Distance borrowing is free for any faculty member living outside of Victoria.

Faculty and instructors in Victoria can request library materials to be sent to your office.

Alumni & external borrowers

We can ship library materials to UVic alumni and external borrowers outside of Victoria for a fee.

  • book delivery fee: $10 per package
  • article delivery fee (per item): $7 for email delivery

If the item you want is not in our collections, you can also request an interlibrary loan for a fee.
