Jane Zhu MBA Cross-cultural Integration Award

Two awards of $1,000 are awarded to two students in their final year of the MBA program in the Sardul S. Gill Graduate School at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business. The purpose of this award is to recognize students who encourage and promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding, and bring together and help facilitate the integration and socialization of domestic and international students throughout the MBA program.

One award will be given to an international student (visa or permanent residence) and one award will be given to a student who is a Canadian citizen. Students may self-nominate or be nominated by other students, faculty and staff via a video entry.

Entries must be accepted by the Sardul S. Gill Graduate School by October 31st.

Approval of the recipients will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the MBA Awards Committee Gill Graduate School, Peter B. Gustavson school of Business.

Eligibility

Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and any additional criteria that has been established by the donor. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. Unless otherwise noted in the award description, you must be a full-time graduate student. 

Retaining funding

Ongoing UVic graduate funding requires students to maintain a minimum level of academic standing and some ongoing maintenance.
