Maps & Parking
The School of Music and Phillip T. Young Recital Hall are located in the MacLaurin Building, B-Wing, on the west side of campus inside the Ring Road.
Parking
The Maclaurin Building is accessed from parking lot E (inside Ring Road) or parking lot 6 (outside Ring Road). A passenger drop-off area is located close to the building and metered parking stalls are available for those with physical challenges.
Pay Parking
The University of Victoria charges for parking in all campus parking lots Monday through Saturday.
**Paperless Pay By Licence parking process**
Parking can be purchased with coin or credit cards through automated machines located in each parking lot. There are also several parking meters for short term visitor parking. Weekly, monthly, term, and annual passes are available through Campus Security Services.
Paper permits are no longer issued by the machines. Users must enter their licence plate number into the machine when paying and you no longer need to return to your car afterwards. The revenue from pay parking offsets the cost of sustainable transportation programs at UVic, including subsidized student bus passes and cycling facilities. For more information contact Campus Security Services at 250-721-6683.
Bus Access
The campus is accessible by BC Transit bus routes from anywhere in the city. The UVic bus terminal is located beside the UVic Bookstore, a 10-minute walk across campus from the School of Music. For more information and links to route maps and bus schedules, see the UVic Bus Routes page.
