This a reminder that Facilities Management and Rain City Technical will be balancing the Petch Building’s mechanical systems next week on Monday and Tuesday of next week. They will be testing fans, by cycling them on and off, and will be in many spaces taking measurements. Fume hoods may appear to be continuing to draw air, but airflows will be unreliable and may stop abruptly, so we ask that you refrain from using them during this time.

Over the next few months, we will be wrapping up the building wide re balancing with the following schedule and impacts. Except for the restricted areas of the NMR space, technicians will be in and out of most spaces several times during this effort. They have been trained in lab and laser lab safety protocols.
