McKinnon Building Fire Alarm Panel Upgrades

McKinnon Building

The Facilities Management Electrical Shop will be performing fire
alarm upgrades and testing, including the replacement of the front annunciator and testing of sprinkler flow and tamper devices. The fire alarm system will be offline during this time, and access to common areas and some classrooms may be required.

Monday, March 16th (am)
This work may interrupt magnetic door holders (fire doors),
rooftop fan units, and overhead doors in the 001F corridor.
The overhead door holders should remain operational, but there
is a possibility they may not function for the duration of the work.

Tuesday, March 17th from 8am to 4pm
The women’s changing room will be temporarily closed to replace
cables routed through this space.

Friday, March 20th from 7am – 8am
A fire bell test is scheduled

If you notice a fire during this time, please report it to Campus Security at 250-721-7599 and leave the building as quickly and safely as possible.
