Halpern Centre for Graduate Studies – Building Automation System Legacy Upgrade

Building #160 – Mechanical Room #121 and Various Rooms for re-commissioning

Facilities Management has contracted SRD Controls to update the Building Automation System DDC Controller in the mechanical room. This controller is responsible for running all HVAC equipment within the building. Note that the kitchen ventilation system will be placed into a Manual Mode for the day and will still shut down in the event of a fire alarm. Domestic hot water temperatures may drop as the day progresses since this the boiler system will be disconnected during the upgrade. Following the controller upgrade, all the system Inputs and Outputs (room temperature sensors, fans, pumps, heating control valves, etc.) will be tested to ensure they operate as expected.
