ECS Continuing Work at South Atrium Ramps - All Levels

ECS interior atrium south face to new ECSE building

In support of the Engineering Expansion Project, Bird Construction has removed the temporary south drywall wall in the ECS building atrium, so that it can be connected to the new ECSE building atrium. A temporary full poly enclosure has been put in place until the new ECSE building is ready to open in September. Work to install new flooring and guardrails is underway at all ECS south ramps that connect the east and west sides. In order to accomplish this work these connecting ramps continue to be closed until the work is complete.

There is a temporary Emergency Exit Only route in place for the ECS east side while the south ramp is closed at each upper floor level – see attached map. This Emergency Exit route should be used only if other floor exits were unsafe to access. Campus Security fire watch is in place after hours while this work is ongoing. Note: There will be some noise associated with this work and from the adjacent construction site.

All levels: ramp closures in effect to July 3.
