Cornett Building - Partial Roof Replacements 2026

Cornett A Wing, B Wing, and walkway roofs

Facilities Management will continue working with Universal Sheet Metal Ltd.,
on the removal of metal flashings located in the walkways (courtyard) that
have a minimal amount of caulking that is asbestos containing.

The pedestrian access area located east of the building which leads to the
courtyard, will be cordoned off and partially out of service tomorrow
Thursday September 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 5:00 however, access will remain
open. (Refer to the attached drawing for specific schedule).

The two-building access (Wing A and B) located close to the north side
pedestrian access will remain out of services on Friday, September 18 from
7:50 am to 11:00 am (refer to the attached drawing).

The courtyard will remain close and indicated in a previous project notice
and will be open on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

The contractor will start working on the removal of flashing located on the
roof (Level 4) on Friday, September 18 at 12:00 pm removing metal flashing
that have a minimal amount of caulking.

The workers removing the flashing will be using removal procedures
mandated by WorkSafe BC. Please keep all windows closed on those days.

Asbestos barrier tape will be installed to demarcate the areas of work.
