High Voltage Upgrades - Power Outage Notice - Area 2

UVIC FMGT is planning electrical outages in three areas across campus to support critical upgrades to the campus electrical distribution grid. This work is necessary to maintain the reliability of our high-voltage infrastructure and reduce the risk of equipment failure.

The planned outage schedule is as follows:

  • Area 1: August 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Area 2: August 4, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am
  • Area 3: TBD, Targeting Late 2026

Please contact the project manager listed below if you have any major concerns regarding this planned outage. Detailed coordination efforts are underway in preparation for these scheduled outages. Additional communications are being developed and will be distributed to the broader campus community.
