Biosafety Cabinet Seismic Bracing - Installation Work - REVISED

Various Lab Rooms in Cunningham and Petch, and Cornett B218

Aral Construction and their subcontractor will be completing their install of steel reinforcement on biosafety cabinets across campus.  

Some of the units require simple work of tightening bolts and attaching fasteners that will be done without moving the cabinets. Others will require shifting cabinets within the room, power drilling through cabinet frames and concrete to install anchors and then recertification from Con-test prior to being returned to service.

Cone barriers will be set up around construction areas, and medium/large rooms can still be used by researchers as work occurs at the cabinets.

Please review the Facilities Notice linked below for a list of impacted rooms, schedule and any actions required by you.

Please contact your Administrative Officer and the Project Manager for any scheduling concerns around timing of these activities.
