Engineering Lab Wing – AHU B

Aral Construction and FMGT will be installing heat recovery coils in remaining four air handlers in the engineering Lab Wing over the course of this year.

In support of this work, Air Handler B will be shut off next week. This unit serves all three levels of the northeast portion of B wing, as bounded by the corridors. This air handler does not serve fume hoods, chemical extraction arms, or vented cabinets.

Occupants in these areas may experience reduced fan noise and air flow to their rooms. This zone is surrounded by the building and therefore should not experience weather-related temperature issues due to this shutdown.

If you are occupying one of these rooms next week, and experience stale air, please consider leaving your corridor door open as much as is reasonable while you are in the room. This will facilitate the air exchange with adjacent systems.
