Engineering Expansion Project - ECS Hoarding Wall

ECS Interior Atrium South Face to New ECSE Building

In support of the Engineering Expansion Project, Bird Construction will begin removing the drywall wall in the ECS atrium space that has been in place since the start of new building construction.

The removal of the drywall will open the existing ECS building atrium to the new ECSE atrium. A temporary poly enclosure will be put in place until the new ECSE building is ready to open in September.

In addition, new flooring and guardrails will be installed at all ECS south ramps that connect the east and west sides.

In order to accomplish this work these connecting ramps will be closed for two-week durations.

Note:   There will be a temporary emergency exit route in place for the ECS east side while the south ramp is closed – see attached map. Campus Security fire watch will be in place after hours while this work is ongoing.

There will be noise associated with this work.

Time frame:
May 25 – June 4: Level 5 & 6 – Ramp closure in effect throughout
May 29 – June 11: Level 3 & 4 – Ramp closure in effect throughout
June 6 – June 17: Level 1 & 2 – L2 ramp closure in effect throughout
