Diversity within VP portfolios
To fulfill provincial reporting requirements, UVic collects employment equity data through the Employment Equity Survey. The survey – which is sent to all new employees regardless of employment status – allows UVic employees to self-identify as a member of one or more of Canada’s four protected groups:
- Women (expressed as W within the tables below)
- Indigenous peoples (expressed as IP within the tables below)
- Persons with disabilities (expressed as PWD within the tables below)
- Visible minorities (expressed as VM within the tables below)
N: VP Portfolio (N) expresses the total number of employees who responded to the survey in a given VP portfolio. Given the survey is voluntary, the following data represent only survey respondents. Currently, our response rate is roughly 85%.
