Undeclared students

If you're a first-year undeclared engineering or transfer student, learn more about options for an engineering degree.

If you're an undeclared computer science student, use the declaration of degree program form to declare your degree program. Normally computer science students declare their program once they’ve completed their second-year courses.

IT & labs

Visit the Engineering IT Services Catalog for more resources, including real-time lab availability.

Building access

Doors to the faculty’s three main buildings are unlocked during normal business hours:

  • Engineering Office Wing (EOW)
  • Engineering Lab Wing (ELW)
  • Engineering and Computer Science (ECS)

There are also a number of undergraduate labs in ELW and ECS that are unlocked during business hours for drop-in access.

Outside of business hours, access to ELW and ECS buildings and labs is by electronic card key (access card), which you can buy at the UVic Bookstore’s main information desk if you're majoring or taking courses in engineering or computer science.

Learn more about access card service. Contact us if you have any issues using your card.
