Funding and scholarship opportunities

While UVic offers some scholarships and bursaries to students in professional graduate programs, there are many more external sources of funding that you may be eligible to apply for and receive.

The following is a list of awards and scholarships we have identified that Professional Programs students may be eligible for. These awards are not administered or distributed by UVic or the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. This list is also not exhaustive, and will be updated regularly, however we encourage you to seek out awards that may apply to you.

If you are looking for help in funding your graduate program, you should apply to all awards for which you match the eligibility requirements. Many awards go unclaimed each year due to lack of applications, and most do not require much more than the completion of a form or a short letter of interest. You can apply for multiple awards, and the application deadlines are year-round, so keep an eye on deadlines and apply early where possible. For many scholarships, you do not need to be admitted to a program to apply, but you will need to prove your enrollment to receive funds.
