Doctor of Engineering

Leadership in Engineering Applications and Practice (LEAP)

LEAP is Canada's first professional doctorate in engineering, and is designed for organizations and the senior engineers and technical professionals within them who are ready to lead at the highest level to drive innovation forward. Through applied research carried out on R&D opportunities, LEAP supports organizational growth and knowledge mobilization while preparing professionals to drive large-scale, high-impact engineering initiatives.

Working in partnership with academic faculty and a dedicated research team, the DEng candidate based within the organization will lead the project to solve real problems and generate outcomes that have value and impact within their workplace and beyond. This means applied R&D capacity, knowledge, and IP that stays within the organization.
