Research

Our research programs cover a wide range of theoretical and methodological perspectives. Faculty members are prolific from a publication standpoint and their efforts have been recognized within the university and abroad. Numerous faculty hold research awards and honours for contributions in their field.

Over the past five years, faculty members have collectively published over 20 books, 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and 50 book chapters. As well, over the past five years, the faculty affiliates have, as principal investigators or co-investigators, obtained over 100 research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the National Institute of Health in the USA, the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) and various other government and non-government agencies.
