Since the birth of our UVic Sociology department in the early 1960s, we have seen the graduation of thousands of sociology students, going forth into the world and providing a wholesome influence at all levels of society.

Many of our alumni have maintained close relationships with our department, and provide sound mentoring to our undergraduate and graduate students. Sometimes the ties extend to employment and career opportunities, but in all cases our current undergraduate students are impressed with the breadth and depth of enthusiasm shown by our alumni - a terrific example of leadership!
