Student Employment Opportunities

UVic’s Office of Student Life (OSL) offers meaningful on‑campus job opportunities where students can develop transferable skills, contribute to a vibrant campus environment, and make a real impact in the lives of fellow students. Whether you’re passionate about mentoring peers, planning events, creating engaging student content or building inclusive spaces, there’s a role for you.

Student Life Paraprofessional Staff

Paid leadership roles (10–15 hours/week) supporting key Student Life programs.

OSL paraprofessional staff provide advanced support, leadership and coordination for OSL programs and services. These roles work both independently and collaboratively to develop programming, support student staff, manage projects, and engage directly with students and campus partners.

With access to OSL workspace and communication tools, OSL paraprofessional staff help shape student engagement initiatives, advance strategic priorities, and foster inclusive, equitable, community‑oriented experiences for UVic students.

Applications for paraprofessional roles are now closed.

Student Life Program Teams

Paid student staff roles (approx. 6-10 hours/month) supporting Student Life events, campaigns and community initiatives.

Program Team members contribute to Student Life’s peer‑driven programs by assisting with events, campaigns and creative engagement activities throughout the year. These roles are ideal for students who want a flexible, low‑hour commitment while still making a meaningful contribution to campus life.

Applications for casual roles are now closed.
