I'm interested in ergodic theory and dynamical systems: the study of the long-term average behaviour of chaotic systems. Most of my work recently has been on multiplicative ergodic theory: something like the Jordan Normal Form when different matrices are multiplied together. Along with my co-authors, I've been applying this to the study of ocean currents.
