Jennie Christensen

Dr. Jennie Christensen is the CEO and Founder of TrichAnalytics Inc., an award-winning company that specializes in laser ablation technology in environmental and human tissues to assess metal and nutritional element concentrations. Christensen has been working in the field of toxicology for 20 years. Understanding metal uptake is one of her professional passions, and is reflected in her commitment to these types of projects over the last decade. Christensen has conducted contaminant and metal uptake projects on bears, otters, small mammals, fish, amphibians, osprey, and humans, and in 2013, won Best Paper Award in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry for her non-invasive approach to monitoring contaminant uptake and fate in grizzly bears. Christensen has also analyzed thousands of hairs for nutritional elements (e.g., calcium, magnesium) and heavy metal (e.g., lead, mercury, zinc, copper) exposure over the past 8 years, and just opened another company in Paris, France in 2021, Theío Vitality, that provides this hair analysis service to the public.
