Hannah Shin holds a Bachelors degree in Science, majored in microbiology and minor in biological sciences from the University of Manitoba. She moved out to Vancouver Island to study marine biology at the Bamfield Marine Science Research Station. Later, Hannah worked as At-sea observer to better understand fisheries management in British Columbia, but realized that life at sea was not fulfilling enough. Eventually, she adventured her way to the world of anthropology at the University of Victoria focusing on cultural and medical anthropology. She is exploring the various theories of medical anthropology and is trying to figure out where she fits in this world. Hannah is very excited to travel to Yangon to experience new cultures and to learn from the people she meets along the way.
