PCIC Update - May 2026

The May 2026 newsletter features two new PCIC data portals (Channel-scale Hydrology Portal and Canada Climate Mosaic), information about the CoNext: Climate Preparedness Hub, our upcoming talks at Adaptation Canada 2026, and a recap of the 2025-26 Pacific Climate Seminar Series.

New Channel-scale Hydrology Portal

This new data portal provides access to high resolution projections of streamflow, water temperature and saturated dissolved oxygen for individual streams and lakes within BC. It includes modelled historical data from 1950 and future projections up to 2100 under a moderate and high emissions scenario.

New dataset: Canada Climate Mosaic

Building on the strengths of BC PRISM, the Canada Climate Mosaic dataset provides high resolution (1km x 1km or finer) gridded climatologies for regions across Canada. This dataset is based on observed station data and includes daily maximum and minimum temperature, as well as total precipitation, for the 1981-2010 period.
