Set up an RSS feed to receive information from your favourite websites, blogs, and electronic journals.

Create a Google alert to receive e-mail updates of the latest Google results on a specified topic.

Set up alerts in your favourite database or electronic journal to receive: new volume/issue alerts, tables of contents, search alerts, and citation alerts. Each database and publisher website is set up a bit differently, so explore the ones you use frequently to find out how to register for alerts and set your preferences. You can also contact your subject librarian for assistance.
