Giving and alumni

Charlie Kocurek
Greek and Roman Studies student Charlie Kocurek was able to travel to ancient ruins in Greece thanks to help from the Margareta von Rudloff Travel Assistance Award. Over three months, Kocurek explored monuments, museums, history and architecture as part of the Greek and Roman Studies Semester in Greece program.

More than 14,000 alumni and growing

Each day in the Faculty of Humanities, we explore ways to create positive change in the world around us. With more than 14,000 alumni, imagine what we could do together. See what some of our alumni are up to and learn how you can connect with us.

Every February, we recognize one of our alumni during UVic's Alumni Week with the Faculty of Humanities Distinguished Alumni Award.

Support our faculty and students

Your philanthropic support helps remove some of the financial barriers faced by our students, enabling them to reach their full potential while being recognized for academic excellence, achievement and leadership. We recognize that many alumni give as well.

You can designate your gift to support:

  • teaching tools and learning spaces
  • inspired teaching and research, such as the Hugh Campbell and Marion Alice Small Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Scottish studies
  • student awards
  • field schools, such as the I-Witness Field School Endowment

Gifts of all sizes are deeply appreciated and may be directed toward your specific interests. The full amount of your gift to the Faculty of Humanities will support the area of your choosing.
