Faculty
In collaboration with other UVic departments and research centres, our research faculty contribute to breakthroughs in medical sciences, addressing some of society’s most pressing healthcare needs, such as the prevention and treatment of cancer, neurological disorders and diseases, and genetic disorders.

Teaching assistantships
All students accepted into the neuroscience graduate program are guaranteed a minimum stipend which may include a teaching assistantship. However, availability is not guaranteed.
Before applying for an assistantship, you are strongly encouraged to consult with your supervisor. For more information, please review the student finances page and the unit funding section of the graduate student handbook.
Post-doctoral fellowships
We welcome applications from prospective post-doctoral fellows interested in doing research with one of our faculty.
If you have just completed or are near completion of a PhD, you may contact UVic faculty members to discuss your interests and see if they have any positions available through their grant funding.
