B’Ed University of Newcastle-on-Tyne, UK, B’Ed., University of Victoria, M’Ed.  Phil’s teaching background is Drama and English from Kindergarten to Graduate levels in the UK, the Cayman Islands and BC. He is based at UVic and also teaches in the satellite teacher education program at the College of Rockies in Cranbrook. In addition to Drama in Education courses in the Faculty of Education he presents workshops in the Faculties of Indigenous Education and Continuing Studies and in schools regularly as part of his ongoing connection between his course work and school districts. He is also privileged to supervise practicum students each year to keep him in best touch with how our work is delivered and received in the classroom. He contributes to professional journals, usually about personal and performance teaching projects such as social injustice issues and hands-on classroom strategies with elementary and middle school students. He is delighted to be working in the Theatre Faculty.
