Diploma in Technical Theatre Arts, Mount Royal College; BFA in Drama (with distinction), the University of Calgary; MA in Arts Education, Simon Fraser University.

Claire is a second-year interdisciplinary doctoral student in Theatre and Education. Her research investigates intersections between scenography and Performance Studies. The properties master at the University of Calgary for seven years, she also led the launch of the first Tri-University Conference in Theatre and Performance Research with her graduate peers at UVic, UBC and SFU and will continue to support that initiative as it moves to UBC for 2016. Claire presented research this summer at CATR and the Critical Exchange of the Puppeteers of America at the University of Connecticut. She has been commissioned to write a chapter for a book called “Critical Perspectives on Women in Puppet Theatre”.
