The Capital Development and Delivery team manages capital projects. This includes initial concept planning, the award of the construction contract, construction, commissioning and occupancy phases for projects.

Our project management team has a critical role in capital projects with wide-ranging responsibilities. We lead and direct all construction and renovation projects at UVic and provide the liaison between the UVic community and contractors working on campus. We're responsible for:
- feasibility studies for capital project proposals
- project budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment and governance
- hiring and supervising consultants and contractors
- communicating and consulting with UVic stakeholder
We don't have an hourly rate for project management services. Instead, project management is charged as a percent on top of the total cost of the project.

Project planning
Our project planning unit is responsible for:
- planning major construction and renovation projects
- creating technical, design and product standards
- long-term plans for space management, accessibility and infrastructure
Project Planning Services' work is guided by UVic's Campus Plan and Campus Planning Committee.
