Career programs

UVic offers a range of career support programs to help you find a job you love.

Career exploration

Career Clarity is our free online program that will help you:

  • generate career ideas
  • use online resources to research possible career paths
  • arrange and conduct in-person informational meetings
  • decide on the next steps in your career

Program format

Career Clarity runs online through Brightspace each term. The program is 6 weeks and you can expect to work on it 3-5 hours each week.

You'll work through a series of exercises and assignments on your own and participate in online discussions with a career educator and other participants.

You can also meet with a career educator 1-on-1 to review your progress.

How to register

  1. Complete the Career Clarity application.
  2. Send it along with a copy of your résumé.

The next program will begin on Monday, May 6, 2024.

If you're a current student, you can sign up for a Counselling Services career group (offered in conjunction with co-op and career) that's focused on career exploration and more.
